PM Awas Yojana Urban, widely known as PMAY-U 2.0 scheme is a flagship program implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, aims to provide financial assistance to build, purchase or rental houses in urban areas, who do not have a pucca house in or near urban areas.

The PMAY-Urban 2.0 list has been issued to the beneficiaries who have applied for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0. The objective of this scheme is to provide a pucca house to all families who do not own a permanent house anywhere near the urban area. PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 List
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0 is a flagship mission endorsed by the Government of India. Households belonging to the middle class of the society which includes Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Lower Income Group (LIG) and Middle Income Group (MIG) categories will be entitled to benefits under the PMAY-Urban 2.0 scheme. All the above families will be provided with Affordable Housing Facility. Apart from this, the government will provide subsidy to the families taking loans for the purchase of property or land, construction of houses and rent.

PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 List Objective
The aim of the project is to provide financial support to families to build pucca houses in cities / town. As a result, every citizen will have a pucca house, which will improve their livelihood. Under this scheme, it has been planned to build 1 crore pucca houses for poor and middle class families in urban areas. Of this, the government will provide Rs 10 lakh crore for housing development and Rs 2.30 lakh crore for subsidies. Benefits PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 List 2024
- More than 1 crore citizens will be entitled to receive the benefits under the PM Awas Yojana Urban.
- Financial assistance will be provided for the construction of houses. This assistance will be given to those whose annual income is Rs 3 lakh, i.e. EWS families and whose plots are vacant.
- Under the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme, the government will provide house sizes up to 30 sqm for EWS, up to 60 sqm to LIG and up to 160 sqm to MIG households.
- The beneficiaries will be given houses on rent, this facility is given only to residents of slums/chawls, labourers (Safai Karmi), anganwadi workers, street vendors, rickshaw drivers.
- Interest subsidy will be given to the citizens for home loans, which are as follows.

Eligibility for PMAY-Urban List
In order to avail the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) -Urban 2.0 scheme, the beneficiaries need to fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below.
- A citizen should not have a permanent or pucca house anywhere in the country.
- Applicant must be a resident of India, residing in an urban area.
- In any case, families enjoying the benefits of any housing-related scheme would not be eligible for PMAY Urban.
- The benefit of this scheme will be available only if the resident’s city is covered under this scheme.
- Applicants must also meet the income criteria (as per Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 guidelines) which are as follows:
- For Economically Weaker Section (EWS) families, the annual income limit is up to ₹3,00,000.
- The annual income limit for Low Income Group (LIG) families is between ₹3 Lakh to ₹6 Lakh.
- For Middle Income Group-1 (MIG-1), the annual income range is between ₹6 Lakh to ₹12 Lakh.
- For Middle Income Group 2 (MIG-2) households, the annual income is between ₹12 Lakh to ₹18 Lakh.
